Mobile crane and boom truck rentals – ready when the job calls for it
Not every lift needs a tower crane. When you need reach, flexibility, and the ability to drive on and get to work fast, a boom truck is the right tool. Jayko Crane’s mobile crane fleet is available for hire across Utah and the broader Rocky Mountain region, with NCCCO-certified operators and same-week availability on most jobs.
What boom truck cranes do best
Boom truck cranes are mounted on standard trucks, making them fast to mobilize and easy to position on tight or busy sites. They’re the go-to choice for lifts that need to happen quickly and don’t require a fixed crane on-site for weeks at at time. Common applications include:
- Rooftop HVAC unit placement
- Cell tower and antenna installation
- Building signs and monument signs
- Roof truss and structural steel lifts
- Prefab component and modular wall placement
- Utility and telecom equipment setting
Why construction crews choose Jayko Crane
Jayko is a veteran-owned, family-operated company – not a large equipment house with a call center. When you call us, you talk to someone who knows cranes and knows your region. Our bilingual (English and Spanish) operators keep communication clear on diverse crews, and our 24/7 maintenance line means a hiccup doesn’t turn unto a lost day.
We bring multiple crane manufacturers to the table, so we can match the right machine to your lift rather than forcing your job to fit our only option. And because most of our equipment runs on standard power where applicable, you’re not burning generator fuel or dealing with noise restrictions.
Service area
Our mobile crane fleet operates throughout the intermountain west. Current service coverage includes:
- Utah: Salt Lake City, Provo, Ogden, Moab, St. George, Logan
- Colorado: Denver, Grand Junction, Fort Collins, Pueblo

One-day lifts, multi-day projects, and standing agreements with GCs are all available. We serve both union and non-union job sites.
Frequently asked questions
Q: How quickly can you mobilize a boom truck for my job?
A: In most cases, same-week and sometimes next-day availability is possible across the Wasatch Front and greater Salt Lake area. For jobs in Colorado, Idaho, or Nevada, give us 2–3 business days for scheduling and travel.
Q: What’s the difference between a boom truck and a traditional mobile crane?
A: A boom truck is a truck-mounted crane — it drives itself to the site on public roads and sets up quickly. A traditional hydraulic mobile crane is a separate machine that is transported on a lowboy trailer, offers higher capacities, and requires more setup time. For most rooftop or mid-size commercial lifts, a boom truck is faster and more cost-effective.
Q: Do I need to provide riggers or a lift director?
A: Our operators are certified and experienced. For standard lifts, no additional rigger crew is required. For complex or critical lifts, we can discuss what the job requires and help you plan accordingly.
Q: Can you handle lifts on active construction sites with restricted access?
A: Yes. Boom trucks are highly maneuverable and routinely operate on occupied sites, in parking structures, down alleyways, and in other constrained environments. Send us photos of the site and we’ll tell you exactly what’s possible.
